People watching a fireworks display for the fourth of July.It’s not the Fourth of July without fireworks, and Westchester County knows how to do the holiday right, with several events during the first week in July. Grab a picnic blanket, your loved ones, and your American flags, and celebrate at one of these great fireworks shows. Here’s where to go for the best displays in Westchester County!

Tuesday, July 2

White Plains, White Plains High School: 6:30–10:00 p.m. Come enjoy inflatables, food trucks, and a concert by Stolen Moments, followed by a fireworks display. Free to all, rain or shine.

Scarsdale, Scarsdale Pool Complex: 9:15 p.m. The Westchester Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. followed by the fireworks display at dark. There is a $5.00 fee for non-pool members and anyone entering after 8:00 p.m.

Wednesday, July 3

Somers, Reis Park: The show starts at dusk. Bring chairs and sit back and relax.

Ossining, Louis Engel Waterfront Park: 5:00 p.m. Live music by Steel Passion and Homegrown, food trucks, craft beverages, and fireworks over the Hudson River at 9:30 p.m.

Valhalla, Kensico Dam Plaza: 5:00 p.m. Bring a blanket and a picnic dinner and listen to a live DJ and Total Soul Band while waiting for the fireworks to start at 9:15 p.m.

Harrison, Downtown, Oakland Avenue: Start the night with the sounds of the House Arrest Band band, followed by fireworks at dusk.

Thursday, July 4

Tarrytown, Pierson Park: 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Featuring food trucks, a Kids Fun Zone from 6–8 p.m. with face painting, glitter tattoos, a bouncy castle, and live music from Kick Start Charlie. Fireworks to start at dusk.

Irvington, Matthiessen Park: Fireworks start at dusk. A rain date is scheduled for July 5.

Peekskill, Riverfront Green Park: 7:00 p.m. Live music from the First Class Dance Band followed by fireworks at dusk.

Rye, Rye Playland: 9:15 p.m. A special edition of the Playland fireworks show will be presented. Fireworks can be seen every Saturday night at Playland starting June 29.

Mamaroneck, Harbor Island Park: 8:00 p.m. The Village of Mamaroneck Fire Department will host its annual Firemen’s Carnival from June 27-July 6. Enjoy nine days of fun, games, rides, and treats. There will be a fireworks display on the 4th of July starting at dusk. The parking fee in the Harbor Island lot will end at 4 p.m. The rain date is scheduled for July 5.

Katonah, Caramoor: 8:00 p.m. Pops, Patriots, and Fireworks concert at Caramoor featuring the Westchester Symphonic Winds. Ticket prices vary; visit their website for pricing.

New Rochelle, Waterfront: 9:30 p.m. New Rochelle’s annual Spark The Sound fireworks display will be rain or shine. Viewing locations include Hudson Park, Five Islands Park, and waterfront restaurants.

Saturday, July 6

West Point, The West Point Amphitheater: 7:30 p.m. West Point is celebrating Independence Day and the re-opening of the Trophy Point Amphitheater. Live music will be followed by a fireworks display overlooking the Hudson River.

Saturday, July 13

Tuckahoe, Parkway Oval Field: 5:00 p.m. Food vendors and entertainment followed by fireworks at dusk. Rain date-July 14.
