Bluebird Homemade Ice Cream
“A must try! As soon as the door opens, the smell of fresh waffle cones takes over. Every flavor in this quaint shop will tempt your taste buds. The Grasshopper ice cream is divine and tastes like summer, while the Vegan Horchata is my all-time favorite! And you can never go wrong with the brownie sundae! So pull up a stool, chat with Barbara, the owner, and be swept away to the land of ice cream perfection. She makes it all herself! Her son owns the original store in Seattle.”

King Kone
“Generous servings of yummy soft serve ice cream and a huge variety of scooped ice cream, including a few sugar-free and low-fat flavors. Oh, and if you’re in the mood for some tasty fried food, there is a lot to choose from in this category, too. My son is obsessed with the fried pickles. Don’t get overwhelmed by the lines. These guys know what they are doing, and the lines move quickly. Unfortunately, they close in the winter months, but most of the locals more than makeup for that in the spring and summer. King Kone also has an ample outside seating area to sit, relax, and enjoy!”

This old-school roadside stand serves up soft-serve and hard ice cream, along with burgers, fries, and other comfort food favorites. “We had eaten in a nearby restaurant for a family celebration and unanimously decided we wanted to continue the party with ice cream.
