From Suburbs to City and Back Again: Meet Christine

Hi all! My name is Christine, and I’m excited to begin the journey as a Westchester County Moms contributor. So, a little bit about me…I was born and raised on Long Island, yet I knew I was always destined to be a city girl. After living in NYC throughout college and during my early 20’s life as a PR gal, I met my husband Marc, a Westchester native. While dating, we traded off living between NYC and life in the suburbs, but when it was time to get married, Westchester life won out. And I must say I love all the different activities, restaurants, shops and more that Westchester has to offer.

In 2012 we welcomed our daughter Maddalena, and in 2016 our son Harrison was born. We live in Hawthorne, where I do the SAHM thing while also trying to maintain the life of a freelance writer. But between Little League, dance, gymnastics, scouts, etc., there’s only so much time in a day before it’s lights out for me.

While not running between the kids’ various activities, we love to explore Westchester and beyond. Whether it’s a family walk through Stone Barns, shopping at the Pleasantville Farmer’s Market, or a stroll along the water at Pierson Park, we enjoy spending time together outside – especially now that summer is here in the suburbs.

In addition, I love finding out about new restaurants, stores, and events to explore sans-kids. Some of my favorite things include coffee, reading, practicing yoga, and the arts. I’m looking forward to this new platform to share all the good, bad, and in-between with you.
