2026 Guide to Summer Camps in and Around Westchester County

Summer is closer than we think, and if there’s one thing seasoned moms know, it’s this: the earlier you plan, the smoother the season goes. But this year, instead of defaulting to the same camp as last summer, what if you explored something new?

Maybe your athlete wants to try theater.
Maybe your theater kid is curious about STEM.
Maybe your independent tween is finally ready for sleepaway camp.

Summer is the perfect time for kids to stretch, grow, and surprise themselves and us. With so many incredible options available, choosing can feel overwhelming. That’s exactly why we created our eighth annual Summer Camp Guide. It’s packed with standout programs in Westchester County and beyond, making it easy to compare, discover, and find the right fit for who your child is right now — not who they were last year.

This guide is your one-stop resource for planning a summer filled with confidence-building experiences, new friendships, adventure, and yes, maybe even a little well-earned peace for you.

Take a few minutes to browse, explore something different, and start imagining what this summer could look like. And as always, please support the incredible sponsors who make this guide possible — they’re helping us bring you the very best local resources.

Here’s to a summer that feels fresh, exciting, and perfectly suited for your family.

ACRES OF ADVENTURE SUMMER CAMP AT ANN AND ANDY

Acres of Adventure campers can be assured a new adventure with friends and a new chapter in their growing stories every year. Spending a summer at Acres of Adventure is a time for fun and outdoor games. They get away from the classroom atmosphere and take on a camp mentality where every day is an adventure. They will be spending time with old friends and meeting new friends. Many of the same counselors will be returning, and new counselors will bring with them new energy and ideas. The Acres of Adventure Summer Camp is located on the Ann and Andy Child Care campus in Elmsford, NY, and summer programs start at the end of June each year.

They incorporate fun activities such as inflatables, the gaga pit, tie-dye days, and special theme days to make every day different and exciting. Everyone will be offered daily swim, and lunch is included for full-day campers!

STEVE & KATE'S CAMP

Whether campers are designing, building, coding, creating, baking, dancing, playing, eating, sewing, skipping—it’s all on their own schedule. When you empower children to make their own choices and be their own bosses, the children discover new reserves of confidence, resiliency, and creativity–all while learning to make course corrections and trust themselves as they go. Families can buy as many days as they’d like and use them anytime. No weekly reservations or commitments are required–just show up! If, for any reason, your plans change, they’ll automatically refund any unused passes in full at summer’s end. Campers are age:4–12, and lunch and snacks are included from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
