After all of the holiday buzz, parties, family get-togethers and the fuzzy time in between Christmas and New Years Day when you have no idea what day it is or what time it is, you want to find something to do that does not include holiday fever, right? Below is a gathering of events that are going on in January in Westchester County.

Take a break in the evening and come enjoy the lovely sounds from the strings family. Admission is free.

Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone

Jacob Burns Film Center

January 12, 2:00 p.m.

Join a five to ten minute discussion following the film. Ask those burning questions, or answer the ones provided and get to know your fellow moviegoers!

Goldfish Swim School Grand Opening

92 Triangle Center, Yorktown Heights, NY

January 13, 2:00 p.m.

The swim school is having an official grand opening. Come and celebrate with an afternoon of swimming, giveaways and fun filled entertainment for the whole family. 

Steffi Nossen School of Dance

January 14 – 19, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Come and try out the Steffi Nossen School of Dance! All ages are invited to try a plethora of classes during this time period prior to the spring session opening on January 26. 

Snow Globe Kid Crafts – Lil Chameleon

Children ageas 3-6 can join together and create unique snow globes! 

MLK Day of Service 

January 19

Volunteer your time in New Rochelle, Elmsford or Rockland County to empower individuals in the community, strengthen communities, and support local non-profit organizations. 

Barnes and Noble

Eastchester, White Plains, Yonkers

Saturdays in January, 11:oo a.m.

Bring your young child to an animated story time. Books are read aloud to an intimate group in the children’s section of the bookstore. Please see the Eastchester, White Plains or Yonkers website for details on location, and book title. 

The Very Hungry Caterpillar & Other Eric Carle Favorites

January 26, 11:00 a.m.

Tarrytown Music Hall

13 Main Street Tarrytown, NY

Come out and watch The Hungry Caterpillar performed on stage, along with other Eric Carle Favorite stories.
