Cold and rainy days can get long for us mamas when the kids are stuck inside. When kids can’t release their energy, each minute can feel like an eternity. Luckily, Westchester County is full of awesome indoor playgrounds where kids can get that energy out. They are also great for birthday parties.
Although some play places can give moms anxiety when they get crowded with screaming little ones, most kids love them for the ability just to let loose and climb, run, and scream. They are great for families with siblings of different ages since equipment is often available for differing ages and abilities.
Here are a few of our favorites! Whether your child likes to climb, slide, or run around and have fun, there’s a great place just around the corner.
The Play Place {Elmsford}
This fun spot features climbing equipment, party rooms, indoor tennis and soccer fields, classes, and holiday camps. They also hold open hours for play on the play equipment and even have a parent’s night out! The Play Place is located in an executive park, so parking is readily available; just be sure to drive around to where the entrance is!

BounceU {Elmsford}

This interactive space combines a cozy café atmosphere with a dynamic play area for kids to explore and create. Kids U {Portchester}
They offer guests a large play space with multiple slides, tunnels, rope ladders, and more. Separate rooms are great for the tumbler in your life, and they offer gymnastics equipment, including bars, rings, and trampolines. They also offer great party packages and many classes. Portchester’s play quad is only available for members enrolled in classes or for birthday parties.

Legoland {Yonkers}
While many people do not immediately think of Legoland when thinking of play places, Legoland does have a large play area for children of all ages to enjoy. A tall climbing structure with tunnels, slides, and nets stands in the middle of a large central area where many Lego-centric activities are available. Children can enjoy rides, movies, Lego building areas, and many attractions. Legoland also has a cafe and a Lego store.

Sportstime USA {Elmsford}
Sportstime has a small play area and much more. While your little one plays in the play space, older kids can try their hand at laser tag, batting cages, arcade games, and bumper cars. There is something fun here for everyone, with snacks and free parking on site. They also have birthday party packages and vacation drop-off events.

Billy Beez {Bronx & Rockland}
Although the Billy Beez locations are not technically in Westchester, they are close enough to be viable options for a fun day for kids. Billy Beez has locations in The Bay Plaza Mall in the Bronx and The Palisades Mall in Rockland. Both Billy Beez locations are the ultimate in-play places, offering multiple areas to climb, slide, run, and bounce. Children can play all day for one price, stop and eat at the on-site cafe, or celebrate a birthday (party rooms and packages are available).

My Gym {Larchmont & Dobbs Ferry}
Technically, My Gym is not an indoor playground. However, it has a slide, a ball pit, and a trampoline. Add that to tons of fun activities and a mini rock wall, and you’ve got yourself a great energy-burning destination. Party packages, classes, and the coveted Parent’s Night Out are available. My Gym is the most fun for younger children.
