Tracks, Scat, and All That: Signs of Life in Winter

February 10 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Free

Many of our local animals and birds stick around and are active in the winter, but seeing them can often be challenging. Our naturalists will teach you to look for signs of their presence, including tracks, scat, homes, feathers, noises, animal trails, buck rubs, and more. Whether snow is on the ground or not, there will be much to see and do!

There will be no advance registration for this program. Dress for the weather. Winter boots are recommended. The ground often remains muddy and slippery even days after precipitation.

Date: Saturday, February 10

Time: 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Format: This program is not a drop-off; an adult must accompany children. The event is expected to be conducted entirely outdoors.

Ages: For families with children of all ages

Cost: FREE, thanks to the generous support of Con Edison

Cancellation Policy: This program proceeds in inclement weather unless hazardous conditions occur. Please check the event listing on the Sheldrake website before heading over to confirm there is no change to the event plans.
