Student Advocacy’s 29th Annual Overcoming the Odds (OTO) Awards Celebration

May 22 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Westchester County’s Student Advocacy is gearing up to host its upcoming 29th Annual Overcoming the Odds (OTO) Awards Celebration on May 22nd, which is an event that reaffirms its commitment to providing students with the necessary resources and services to thrive, gain confidence, and succeed in their academic pursuits!

Through this event, which will take place at The Barbara Walters Campus Center at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22nd at 6 p.m. Student Advocacy will shine a spotlight on five exceptional students who have triumphed over challenges to excel academically and positively impact their communities.

Student Advocacy, founded in 1982, has been the only non-profit in Westchester County whose mission is exclusively devoted to advancing and protecting all students’ educational rights, especially those marginalized due to learning or physical disabilities, mental health issues, and other complex challenges. Services are provided at no cost to families, focusing on students from low-income backgrounds.

The work of Student Advocacy – and this annual gala in its 29th year – is made possible by the generous contributions received from dedicated donors who ensure that the organization can sustain its mission of assisting students in accessing the educational resources and services necessary for learning, fostering confidence, and achieving success.

Dave Price, the esteemed meteorologist at WNBC, will serve as the master of ceremonies for the event.
