Thirty years ago\, a Fender Strat–wielding teenager from Shreveport\, Louisiana\, rocketed the blues back into the mainstream with the Platinum-selling Ledbetter Heights—a fiery\, hook-smart\, and reverent burst of guitar prowess that cut through the grunge era and reintroduced blues to a new generation. That breakout vaulted Shepherd from small clubs to Top-10 charts and earned him industry acclaim\, a passionate fanbase\, and a spot in Guitar World’s rankings just behind B.B. King and Eric Clapton. Now a master rather than a prodigy\, Shepherd has returned to where it all began with a faithful\, full-band re-recording of his landmark debut in honor of its 30th anniversary. On this national tour stop\, the band will perform the entire 12-song album live\, then follow with a second set spanning highlights from Shepherd’s three-decade career. “This is the album that put me on the map\, and I still enjoy listening to it because my goal has always been to make music I want to listen to—unfiltered and straight from the heart\,” Shepherd says. Shepherd’s journey from teenage sensation to enduring torchbearer includes five Grammy nominations\, multiple Gold and Platinum releases\, Billboard and Blues Music Awards\, acclaimed projects like the documentary 10 Days Out: Blues From the Backroads\, and tours alongside icons from Van Halen and Bob Dylan to Aerosmith\, The Rolling Stones\, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
